Don’t wait until it’s too late to have your eclipse viewer ready to watch eclipses, sun spots, and other incredible celestial phenomena! Our handheld solar viewers are perfect for passing out at events—they’re popular at schools, astronomy clubs, planetariums, museums, and more. Certified safe, Rainbow Symphony solar eclipse glasses and viewers are designed to provide reliable protection and a high-clarity viewing experience.
All of our eclipse viewing materials are optical density 5 or greater and are "CE" certified, which meets the transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN 169/1992. They also meet the standard for ISO 12312-2:2015. Lenses are made of our exclusive scratch-resistant optical density 5 black polymer'' material that filters out 100% of harmful ultraviolet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light. These premium filters create a sharper orange-colored image of the sun.

Unfortunately, there are sellers out there that don’t lab-test their eclipse viewing products, and worse, some sell outright fakes. In order to be 100% positive that you’re using a safe solar viewer, you must purchase your eclipse supplies from a reputable eclipse store. Since the ‘90s, we’ve worked closely with the organizations that set safety standards—we even helped to create the safety standards—so purchase any of our eclipse viewing products with 100% confidence.
You can ONLY stop using eclipse viewing products when the sun is completely blocked by the moon. This is called the full totality phase. Even if the slightest amount of sunlight is showing, viewing with unprotected eyes can be very dangerous.

Our handheld viewers and solar eclipse glasses both perform the same function, so it simply depends on which style you prefer. Viewers are great for passing around in a big crowd or for kids, and glasses offer hands-free convenience.
