Black Polymer Solar Filters
At Rainbow Symphony, our Black Polymer Solar Filters are an affordable alternative to aluminum cell and glass filters. We’ve designed them with superior quality and cost in mind to ensure you get long lasting filters that create great images of the sun. You can use these filters with telescopes, binoculars, cameras, and finder scopes.
Benefits of Black Polymer
Unlike other solar filters, our black polymer solar film provides a more pleasing and natural yellow-orange image of the sun. This color also offers more contrast and clarity than other solar films. The advantages of the black polymer solar filters make them stronger and more durable than other, thinner film solar filters.
**The actual filtering properties are protected within the substrate. Patent is pending.
How to Size Your Filter
Your black polymer solar filter cell fits over the outside of the device you wish to use. Measure the outside diameter (OD) of the device and choose the filter size with the inside dimension (ID) that is larger than your device’s OD. In this case, the filter ID is 76 mm.
Do not choose a filter the same size as your OD. This will be too tight and won’t allow room for it to fit over your device. Adhesive felt lining is included to help make a custom size and snug fit.
